Irrelevance of Gandhi’s Non-Violence Concept

Many educated Indians consider Gandhi a spiritual man. Yes, because the Europeans call him spiritual. But what he preaches is not Indian spirituality but something derived from Russian Christianity, non-violence, suffering, etc. The gospel of suffering that he is preaching has its root in Russia as nowhere else in Europe — other Christian nations don”t believe in it.”

“Purification can come by the transformation of the impulse of violence. In that respect the old system in India was much better: the man who had the fighting spirit became the Kshatriya and then the fighting spirit was raised above the ordinary vital influence. The attempt was to spiritualize it. It succeeded in doing what passive resistance cannot and will not achieve. The Kshatriya was the man who would not allow any oppression, who would fight it out and he was the man who would not oppress anybody. That was the ideal. Gandhi”s position is that he does not care to remove violence from others; he wants to observe non-violence himself.”
-Sri Aurobindo.

Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi is no doubt a great leader, he had courage to fight against the Britishers and set the fire of imagination in Indians from 1900 to 1947. From the time he was thrown off from the train in South Africa, he took upon the cudgels to fight for independence in Chmparan, Bihar. After he landed on India’s soil, India’s Congress party used his guidance and leadership to take on British Raj in India. I used to go on and on while writing for my school essay contests about the so called great Mahatma and his great personality and leadership skills. This heroic story was fed to post-independent Indians like me from our childhood, from movies to documentary, from schools to conferences. Everywhere we had the spontaneous great feeling when we hear the word “Mahatma” — The Great Soul. Till we knew the other side.

I have the highest regard for the man, and for his great contribution to India’s independence journey. I also feel proud when world leaders acknowledge an Indian’s leadership, personality, particularly his God-like image as a Messiah of Peace and Non-violence, even after 68 years of his death. Unfortunately, a big cottage industry and a new generation of Chinese Gandhis have already prospered around that name. But I will not discuss that today.

My point of focus will be to elaborate Gandhi’s means and the methods that he proscribed for Indians and it’s after-effects. Time has come for all of us to know the other side of the great soul too. The years of brainwashing by a Powerful Ecosystem on Earth has resulted in only one way of dealing with that person: Worship him like demi-God. Only ONE Way otherwise Highway. He has created such an aura or halo around him today that no power in India or in Earth can question his controversial decisions resulting in heartbreaking scars on Indian psyche even after 68 years of independence.

As the country begins to celebrate 75 years of its independence in a few years, time has come to introspect the “other suppressed side” of the Mahatma and analyse his true contribution for the country. The blatant regretful horrendous decisions made by him were kept under wraps by the subsequent political Ecosystem which ruled India for six decades. When I analyse his methods, approaches, strategies to deal with British Raj and subsequent Indian population which came out of the shock partition aftermath, I realise he had made an irreparable damage to India’s psyche at the grass root level. It will be difficult to digest this fact even by the so called intelligentsia. People worldwide still keep him in high pedestal of Truth, Chastity, Purity, Knowledge, Leadership skills and quote him in relation to these human aspects.

Before I deep dive into the subject, I would like to ask some searching questions for my countrymen to ponder over

Did People of this Country become Non-Violent and Peace Lover?

Did Gandhi make every Indian non-violent and peace loving through his much publicized and globally acclaimed Non-violence and peace loving method?

Did he generate Patriotism and Nationalistic Spirit for the Nation after 1947?

Was he able to generate an iota of “Love and Patriotism for the Nation” among the Indians after independence? Was there any Never-say-die spirit by Indians? Did he inspire Indians to work for the nation after independence, forgetting all divisions and hatred? Why he failed to inspire Indians to make the country a self-reliant nation?

Who Compelled him to Divide this 5000 Year old Nation?

If he was a great leader, why did he succumb to pressures to divide this 5000-year old civilization into two based on two religions? Why could he not stand up to power hungry and greedy selfish politicians of both religions? Who compelled him to make a deal with Britishers? If he was against creation of Pakistan (as was portrayed), why did he succumb to the blackmail of Nehru and CONg Party thugs?

Was Partition a desperate and mindless Decision?

Why Could he not foresee the impact of partition and subsequent genocide, which was easily foreseen by common innocent men of India? Why was he silent against the horrific impact of Partition? Why could he not foresee the million murders of both sides when he had already seen it in Bengal division. Did he not have basic common sense?

Why was he forgotten after 1947 by the same Congress party?

Why was he sidelined the moment the power was thrust with the Congress Party? Why Nehru was adamant in not inviting the Father of the Nation to hoist the national flag? Why were his utopian ideas not in sync with the then government’s vision and policy? Why all his policies were sidelined and ignored by the same party which worships him 24x7?

Are all his Ideas and Policies Relevant now?

Will Non-violence carry any weight now? Did his work transform the current set of killers from Kashmir Jehadis to Naxals, or any riotous mob across the country? If not why we are told Non-violence is the best policy every time instead of self-defence as the best policy?

Was Fasting a Mature Tool to Show Criticism and disobedience?

Was threat of fasting a mature logical attempt to raise the consciousness of citizens? If not, why any present-day politicians are afraid to sit on fast for any good reasons without any selfish motives? Can any present day Congress politicians dare to sit on fast on the Siachen/Dalakh borders and request the human animals from Pakistan and China to stop killing us mercilessly? Was it a blunder to depict India’s Peace loving and Non-violent image across the world instead of powerful country by such mindless methods of fasting?

Why was he Soft towards Muslims at the cost of Hindus?

Why was he adamant in giving more doles to Pakistan at the cost of majority Hindus? Why did he always succumb to the demands of minority community just after independence? Why this policy still continued by CONg party as their supreme secular policy after independence? Did he ever speak against Pakistan, did he condemn the creation of Pakistan and their leaders for attacking India after 1947?

Why was he extremely supportive with UK?

Why was he silent against UK and its atrocities? Did he ever speak against UK and its untold atrocities on the nation? Did he ever demand looted wealth including the Kohinoor from British Govt after independence?

Why he failed to disband Cong after independence?

Why he was opposed to the Extremist group of Congress?

Extremists were actually in majority in number. Why Historians portrayed negatively the extremists like Lal, Bal, Pal, Bhagat Singh, Sri Aurobindo, where as their roles were crucial in India’s independence?

Impact of Forcing Non-violence on the People at present?

I strongly believe the way Non-violence was thrust upon India’s psyche, it had unforgettable impact on the mindset of Indians for many generations to come. We are constantly told from universal sources that Indians are peace-loving and war-fearing people. Ultimately, at a subtle level, it had made India a nation of cowards and submissive people. Many intellectuals might question me after reading this. The people born after independence felt that the people led by Gandhi bowed before the marauding British Army, and asked for freedom. This so called freedom was due to reason of fasting of one man and practice of non-violence by millions of people. They still believe that independence was freely gifted to 40 crore Indians out of Britishers’ benevolence and kind-heartedness, after 200 years of torture, loot and plunder of this richest country in the world.

Learning Lesson for the 130 crore Indians:

As an Indian, you should always be submissive and kind and coward in the event of any attack from the enemy. If you counter-attack your aggressor, you will go against the so called Indian ethos and non-violent heritage. You will fail to popularise Indianness.

The thought of non-violence was portrayed as some supreme inner strength which billion Indians only possess in this world. Our country was given much global appreciation for the non-violent way it struggled for freedom. It was projected as if billion Indians were non-violent and peace loving soldiers. Indians were made to believe that the freedom is a gift from Britishers and by a single man’s non-violent missionary zeal and determination. Not only that, 200 years of British oppression, torture, killing was silently covered by English Loving party and their sycophant executives. The first PM even gave the first speech in independent Hindustan in English as if he was addressing the rest of the world. From the first day, Gandhi’s pet India’s premier was dreaming of becoming a global statesman. He made no noise about mass killing of people on both sides as he and their hungry party was party to the untold crime and suffering, committed on PEACE LOVING NON-VIOLENT INDIANS. I will seriously disagree with the Father of the Nations and the Mahatma title for Gandhi?

Is India a Non-violent Country now?

But one question which intellectuals buried in the last 70 years: Are all Indians peace-loving, kindhearted, spiritual now? Are we all so good and compassionate from our inmost being? If India was all peace and kind, why so many killings happened by the same Indians. The brutal manner in which 2 million people lost their lives due to world’s worst ever partition was never discussed in Indian media nor in World media. If you visit any museum in London or Birmingham, you can see the glimpses of loot and plunder that Britishers committed on our nation. Such was the power of few power hungry politicians. They put at stake lives of 2 million people who lost to murderous mobs from both sides. Such was the complicity of the powers at be, never ever partition killing was discussed and was even buried forever. Gandhi was never trusted by the majority from the day one for his one-sided soft corner towards minorities. Luckily there was no Social Media that time, otherwise Gandhi would have been badly exposed now. Following are the questions I pose before the Gandhi lovers and intellectual mafia:

I seriously doubt and question Gandhi’s contribution and impact on India after independence. All that he was concerned more was about Pakistan’s growth after 15th August, 1947. Neither he was concerned with Economy of India, nor the well-being of crores of Indians. Luckily his utopean idea of Ramarajya was not thrust upon India as he could not get a chance to blackmail the then Govt. Germany and Japan were almost at the point of extinction after World War II defeat but became world’s second and fourth biggest Economies in the world in just 40 years. In contrast, we failed miserably and are still lagging behind as a developing country. We failed to overtake even small island nations like Singapore, Hong Kong, Kuwait in per capita income. What a fall, World’s richest state in minerals and wealth is plundered and looted beyond imagination.

Indians were brainwashed that being goody goody before countries like China Pakistan was as per Gandhi’s principle. Just few days after independence, Pakistan attacked us despite Gandhi’s love for Pakistan, forcing upon the Indian Govt to donate millions of rupees package. China backstabbed India in UN and also taking over Tibet and Arunachal Pradesh. China even took Aksai Chin, the part of Kashmir where it is now building world’s biggest CPEZ. Russia, UK andUS had backstabbed coward innocent India multiple times, and were head quarters of Bleed India Project or Breaking India Forces. Even small islands like Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Maldives, Nepal threatened us with dire consequences many a time.
After May 2014 India had started gaining respect slowly in the world scale, thanks to a nationalist PM.

Intellectuals can argue that Gandhi was an apostle of Peace n Non-violence, world should work for Peace and all that crap. But at what price should we meekly and blindly submit to Forces of Adhrama? And for how long? Gandhi single-handedly destroyed India’s Dharmic Supremacy by imposing his will on Nation’s Consciousness. When people of India do not realise that they have to fight for their freedom anymore, just show your one cheek, n the other person will melt automatically n give you freedom at no cost, n out of his benevolence. This is not called greatness of Non-violence, but meek surrender of your conscience, your self esteem, your inner fighting spirit to an Asuric Adhrama Force. Instead of fighting like Lord Krishna, entire Indian Consciousness meekly submitted before British looters n prostrated n begged for freedom. They tried their level best to play “divide n rule” between Hindus n Muslims. Britishers gave the freedom because of Subash Bose’s Azad Hind Fauz.

If the so called liberals Intellectual elite champion for Gandhi’s Non-violence every now and then and claim India is only a Peace loving and Non-violent country for 1000s of years, how come India had so many riots since independence, how come the same mindless extreme division n hatred still persist in Kashmir, Kerala, WB Assam and old city of Hyderabad and various divisive forces still at large? Even Gandhi’s message couldn’t stop mass murders of 2 million people during worst partition. Because you can not thrust one idea forcefully by verbal threat of fasting on a nation’s Consciousness when they are not transformed inwardly. The “Follow me otherwise I will go on fast” threat is still being used by few politicians. Today world is again showing candle light silent protest march after every Terrorist strike on the streets of Mumbai, London, Paris, Istanbul instead of destroying the root cause of Terrorism. Will the champions of Peace and Non-violence dare to go to Syria, Pakistan, Kashmir, Afgan borders with posters of Gandhi, Mandela and Martin Luther king and show those LeT, ISIS terrorists their other cheeks and sit on a hunger strike for Peace n Tranquility? Can you sit in front of brainwashed Terrorists of Kashmir and talk Peace n goodwill and humanity? If not that “famous” policy is useless and outdated now in India’s context and must be made to change. That character of Peaceful and Non-violent Country as a state’s image and policy is a failed image, failed idea, and failed concept.

To CONCLUDE: GANDHI and His Ideas are COMPLETELY IRRELEVANT NOW.

What can be done to address this slip?

India’s warrior spirit was present from the times of Krishna, Arjun, Chanakya, Rana Pratap, Chandragupta, Shivaji Maharaj, Rani Laxmibai, and numerous others. After 69 years of meekly submission and cowardly surrender, India is slowly changing its mindset and the sleeping elephant is getting its mojo back.

Few Instances which created goosebumps:

Cricket: Few years back it started with India’s biggest religion “cricket”. When a Ganguly Dada throws off his shirt from Lords Stadium, it creates goosebumps in billion Indians; When a Yuvraj Singh hits six sixes a over to an English bowler; when a Kumble/Kohli/Dhoni gives it back to Australians a “word for word” reply and takes their own game to the highest level, it creates huge impact on the collective Consciousness that we can be conqueror over the white races.

Science & Technology: When an Abdul Kalam decides to make cryogenic Engine for India and secret Nuclear test without any dependence on Russian knowledge transfer or support it shows India has arrived; When ISRO launched space mission 1/10th the price of a NASA mission; When all women team launched gigantic satellites into space.

Politics: When an Indian PM speaks in front of Google, Facebook, Tesla Headquarters, when he brings a full house in Madison Square garden US, UN, WEF, or in a Wembley stadium London for inspiring speeches, it shows sleeping elephant India has arrived on world stage. It feels with pride when UN HQ celebrates Indian independence day, Ambedkar’s Birthday, a or Burj Khalifa changes to tricolour, when our PM gets standing ovation from Afghan Parliament to US, UK and AUS Parliaments.

Spirituality: India is known as Spiritual Laboratory of the World.

  • When UN decides to celebrate World Yoga Day on June 21 after an Indian PM asks it in his first ever speech, it becomes a matter of pride;
  • White House celebrates Holi and Diwali, or UAE Govt. creates first ever temple for Hindus.
  • When Sri Sri and Sadguru enthralls millions of people on the streets of Chili and Bangkok
  • When Patanjali Ayurvedic products are sold globally and threatens the MNCs business.

The time has come when not only Cricket, but also in all fields, be it Politics, Economy, or Defence, India is being accepted as a superpower in the world, despite pessimistic pseudo-liberal brigade.

It’s high time when years of submissiveness and cowardly character thrust upon India’s psyche have to change. Today when a Sonu Nigam, Sehwag, Gambhir, Phogat, Yogeshwar, Abhijeet, Anupam Kher, Vivek Agnihotri or Yogi Adityanath step out and fearlessly speak and expose liberal Intellectuals’ cowardly and double standards, whole Ecosystem unites to launch no-holds-barred attack on them. India will no longer tolerate any more celebration or welcome of its enemies/killers in its home soil, be it of Pervez Musharaf or Burhan Wani or JNU traitors.

You can preach Peace, but it should not be at the cost of your Existence, your own future or your self esteem. You can preach non-violence at global level when the world is ready for Non-violence. First root out the cause of Asuric Forces from the world, then start talking about Peace. You can no longer trust or make deals with people who are creating mindless Bhasmasuras at home to destroy their own neighbours. You must find ways to disarm them first or annihilate your known/unknown enemies and then bring them into discussion table and talk Peace and Non-violence.

Unless there is Peace in all parts of our own being, we can’t think of Peace in the world. If Gandhi had focused on “unity for human race by an inner oneness” instead of external imposition of threats of Fasts or hunger strike to stop the religious riots, India would have been more united at a human level. He failed to change the collective Consciousness of the nation towards peace and Non-violence but took all the credit as a messiah of Peace. Otherwise two million people would not have lost their lives during partition riots for no fault of their own. He failed to stop the deep religious divide that was present that time, but he supported the minority openly without any care for majority. Had he preached about the mantra of Human Unity to the both the religious groups, and projected effectively Bharat’s original mantra as “All spiritual paths lead to One Source and whole world is one family” the catastrophe would have been avoided. Even before we think of Peace and human Unity, we need to activate our inner spiritual forces present within us. It is not a matter of one person’s will power that will define our destiny, but for a collective will power of humanity, for the inner Harmony, inner peace that will define our destiny.

As The Mother says India must be reborn because her birth is demanded by the future world; India cannot perish “our race cannot become extinct
because among all, all the divisions of mankind, it is India that is destined to spearhead the next phase of human evolution.
